Oh Hai

So, um, I haven’t written anything on this site for a long time. I’ve been a little busy. It’s pretty much a master’s class in understatement to say my life has changed in the past year or so. It’s all for the better, though, and while it has been hard at times, I’m extremely glad to be here.

Tonight, I’m off to play my band‘s last show. I really wish we could have made a third album, and maybe we will eventually, but for now we are officially going into an extended hiatus. Oh well. It was a good run and I had a blast playing in this band for the past 5 years.

Well, that’s it for now. I’m going to try and write more often, so I guess you have that to look forward to. It’s good to be back.

New Host

I’ve successfully moved this site over to a new hosting company and I couldn’t be happier. The server seems real speedy and even has support for Ruby on Rails which means I finally have a sandbox to play around with this RoR stuff.

Also, I’ve fixed the permalinks problem I had before and so now all of the archives for themuy should be working again. Please let me know if you see any issues.

New Theme

I’ve got some good news and some bad news. The good news is I have upgraded to the latest WordPress and installed a cool new theme: Hemingway. I’ll be working to customize it to my liking over the next few days.

The bad news is I still cannot get the permalinks working for all of my blog posts and categories. If you try to click through to read more or comment on a post, you’ll encounter a 404 error. I’m working frantically to fix this, so in the meantime please bear with me. Oh yeah, and if you want to help me figure this out, please contact me.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m going to start a new tradition here at the muy: belated holiday greetings. So, with that, I hope that you and yours have an excellent Thanksgiving holiday. So, go ahead and visit with family and friends, watch sporting events, drink copious amounts of alcohol—whatever floats your boat. Just make sure you do it 5 days ago.

Q: What am I thankful for?
A: You.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Want a Puppy?

I went running last night with my doggies and happened upon a homeless dog on the mean streets of Ormewood Park. She was in really bad shape and so, with the help of the wife, I brought her home.

She’s a one year old black lab mix. We’ve given her the temporary name Clementine and she’s really cute. The wife took her to the vet today and the vet told her the dog has mange and a mild case of heartworms. Both of these issues are being taken care of and Clem should be ready for adoption in about 3 weeks.

I’ll post a photo later, but in the meantime, if you (or anyone you know) think you might want a cool dog, please contact me.
