Okay, i’ve finally got my new hard drive working. Sorry for the down time. I sure am happy to have 120 Gigs of space.
Speaking of down time, I’m sick. sniffle.

Does this mean you have your own server? Does your DSL provide a static IP? Who do you use? R ight now my DSL is free, but when that offer expires, I”m looking to get one with static IP addresses…
Yep. I was using DirecTV DSL until they went under last December. They offered a static IP and that’s why I went with them. When they went under, alot of other DSL providers started offering deals to switch to their service. Because alot of people on DirecTV were there because of the static IP option, alot of these companies started offering static IP to DirecTV DSL customers as an incentive to switch to them.
I ended up going with a local outfit, Speedfactory (speedfactory.net) and I couldn’t be happier. They are a small shop located in Marietta and all the people I’ve talked to have been very knowledgeable. They’ll probably charge you a little extra for static IP. They offered it to me free for a year because I was with DirecTV. Just don’t let them talk you into handling your DNS for $5 a month, there are plenty of free DNS services that will point to your IP. Oh yeah, Speedfactory doesn’t block port 25 either, so you can run your own mail server.
Good luck.
